Google Business Profile Not Showing in Search After Reinstatement? Why and How to Fix It

Reinstated, but not showing in search or ranking lower? Here is why and what to do.

After reinstatement, wait 24 to 48 hours for your Google Business Profile to settle. You should get everything back.

If it is still not showing in search, or the ranking is lower, one of these is the reason. It is almost always a change in your name, address, phone number or website (NAPW).

1. You removed keywords from your business name

If the profile was suspended for spam, you had to remove the keywords from the business name. Those keywords were matching what people searched, and that was helping your ranking. Without them the ranking drops, and you need to work on it again.

2. You changed your address

A new address means you do not get the old ranking back. You have to build it again.

3. You moved from a visible location to a service area business

If you hid your address, the ranking you had as a storefront does not carry over. You have to work to earn it again.

4. Your reviews are missing

Get your reviews back. Follow How to Make Google Reviews Show Up, and your ranking should stay as it was before the suspension.
